for your group. Bushwalking is a relaxing activity on the amazing well known Queen
Charlotte Track and also the Nydia Track. See some amazing native bird species including
the gannet colony. For those holidaymakers who wish to be lazy and simply take it easy
there are many clean, safe bays of the Marlborough Sounds to do some, sea kayaking,
swimming, and snorkelling.
  KAYAKING
& BOAT HIRE
A boat or kayak is one of the best ways to explore the beautiful waters of the Marlborough
Sounds. If the holiday home you book does not come with a boat or kayaks, or if you would
like to have more available to you as part of a large group, contact us. We can then
organise the hiring and delivery to the Sounds Great Holiday home of your choice.
Costs will depend on the season, peak or off- peak, and on the number
of boats or kayaks you would need to hire. Sounds Great Holiday Homes would charge a
nominal fee for delivery and collection.
FISHING
One of the most popular past-times is snapper fishing straight off the local wharf.
Whether you are a keen fisherman or just a beginner, simple fishing trips and fishing
charters can be arranged by the Sounds Great Holiday Homes co-ordinators.
 MUSSEL
TOURS
A trip to the mussel farms to view the man-made mussel rafts is always interesting and a
salmon farm tour is also a unique activity.
WINERY TOURS
You can use your holiday home as your base to visit all the wonders of Marlborough.
